listen :: sometimes I like to youtube my music

Sometimes I like to play a playlist from Youtube rather than iTunes and today I added to my son approved playlist the following:

Andy kept playing this one over and over. Then it sunk in. I needed to hear it on my own. Then I watched the video and now I feel like I have an understanding. Of course you should be reading this blog if you want to find great music or shame yourself with how uncool you have become since you had a child. Civil Civic have a myspace, blog and website. Go there and buy/download their music.

Local Natives. I read a few blogs this weekend, just quick scan reading and found that other people love the Local Natives and they have videos on youtube. I love their album and it doesn't surprise me that others do too but I really love this video. Is it bad that sad music doesn't make me sad? I clicked on a live version of the song and found my love had grown because I really didn't think it could work live. But then I erroneously doubted Grizzly Bear and I still can't get over that show. They have website, myspace and facebook

So this is more what's been playing on TV and got into my head rather than youtube-ing. I really like this song by Kele more so than that other one he did that was also pretty catchy. I just googled for links and found his blog had a video of him doing this song at Parklife in Brisbane this past weekend. Looked pretty fun. Okay here is his myspace, facebook and website

You know I still love this song, a lot. But I hadn't seen this video of it, the other one yeah, and I liked that but this video is better. How about that Labyrinth worthy party at the end there? Awesome. website

  1. Hey! Thanks for the props for Civil Civic - but you are the coolest AND you have a child!

Also...Kele? Really? Whilst I dont like everything on your playlist, I can appreciate it - except for Kele. He is one giant douche.

And before he says anything, tell Andy I like Kid Cudi. Ice T is better though.

  2. I had no idea Kele was a giant douche, it still doesn't affect me liking his songs. I also like Kanye... but I don't like Puff Daddy or Diddy or whatever. Actually that song he did years ago has finally grown on me so I guess being a douche does not rule you out in my iTunes/youtube listening experience, in fact going through my tracks it might actually be a necessity.

I'm yet to meet a person who doesn't like Kid Cudi.
