take time and look up :: backyard gazing

Backyard gazing is something we all take time to do in the Reynolds family, sit and watch the sun set. I came back to Brisbane thinking I could have our little family live in a unit/apartment but I am glad that Andy took a stand for a house because now we have this backyard to gaze from.

back to it :: back to BNE

So, I dropped off the blogging thing for some time now, we went through some major life changes only to be back here with not much and trying to pull it all together. To catch you up, February I had my second baby, March we moved out of our house of nearly eight years and my husband moved to the USA while we (the kids and I) waited for my visa to be approved. I was approved in July and I flew from Brisbane through Hawaii to Seattle with a baby and five year old. We arrive in Seattle, discover that the American dream isn't our dream and realise that we need to move back to Brisbane and find our own way. We drove to Canada to get the kids passports, got a visa emailed for Andy and booked the flights for our return - losing a day and flying through LAX (ugh! Hawaii is a much nicer flight to get into/out of the USA). We got back in early November, but it feels as though we never really left.

And now I'm left with a lot of life experience and a family life to pull together in a short amount of time. So I'm going to blog about things as a way to keep my mind clear of cluttered thoughts, like "why is Jamie Oliver cookware so much cheaper in the USA and why won't Amazon deliver it to me here in Australia? Or maybe I prefer a tfal option... I wonder how much does it weigh and can I get it posted to me from my in-laws?" because I currently don't have any pots and pans. Of course I don't have our own place to put those pots and pans away in, but I'm working on that.
