I was strolling IKEA this week and got lost in the fabric section. I usually do not go to IKEA for fabric but this time I got lost in the plaids and designs. I went through them all and laid them down, touched them, put them up to light. They seem pretty sturdy and are very reasonably priced. I'll be going back for more I'm sure.
So this is going to be a cushion cover. I saw this fabric on the bolt but couldn't buy it because the cut was at a point in the design that I didn't want. I was pretty upset about it. After pulling through the scrap bin I found someone had already cut and discarded it which lifted my spirits.
So my materials are:
0.5m Åsa Ekström designed fabric for IKEA from 2008
40cm Birch Charcoal 309 Dress Zip from Spotlight
50X50cm Granat white cushion from IKEA
I'm going to hand sew it because my machine is broken and I need to work on my stitches. The more you sew the straighter and tighter they get, so why not a cushion cover? It shouldn't take me too long to get it done.
